The Hoshizaki KMD-201AB is a high-capacity modular ice machine head producing up to 200 kg of premium crescent-shaped ice per 24 hours under optimal conditions (175 kg at 21°C air/15°C water, 140 kg at 32°C air/21°C water), making it well suited to hotels, large restaurants, bars, and busy hospitality venues with demanding ice requirements. The modular head-only design pairs with a separately selected compatible storage bin and top kit, giving operators the flexibility to match storage capacity to their specific service volume.

At the core of the KMD-201AB is Hoshizaki's patented double-sided stainless steel evaporator, which increases the active freezing surface to produce more ice per cycle and reduce the total number of cycles needed to fill a bin. The result is lower energy consumption, faster replenishment, and reduced wear on components. Hoshizaki's signature crescent ice is crystal clear, exceptionally hard, and slow melting, minimising drink dilution and enhancing beverage presentation across every service period.
