The oil filter is still on the order. The fryer beside it has been substituted. Nobody has checked whether the filter, its accessories and the revised fryer still form a supported combination.
Choose oil filtration against each exact fryer and its complete station. Record how the proposed system interfaces with the appliance, what accessories and consumables it needs, and who confirms that arrangement. A filter that suits one pan is not automatically a supported answer for the next one.
Describe the filtration arrangement before comparing offers
“Portable”, “automatic” and “built-in” describe different aspects of a system. A movable unit may still need staff to position it and complete other tasks. A system supplied with a fryer may have a different interface from a separate filter proposed for an existing appliance. Put the offered arrangement into plain language and attach its exact model documents.
For a concrete manufacturer distinction, VITO AG's portable-series guidance describes a unit positioned in the fryer and lists fixing-bracket and clip-on-frame accessories. Its separate mobile X-series guidance describes a lance and return function. These are different equipment arrangements with different tasks to assess.
Those current manufacturer HTML pages were read on 18 October 2026. They support the distinction, not a claim that a particular VITO model fits your fryer. Obtain the offered model's current manual and have its supplier confirm the complete pairing. This guide is a purchasing brief; it does not reproduce either operating sequence.
Use the commercial fryer buying guide for the fryer and batch-workflow decision. Here, the question is whether the filtration proposal remains supported when attached to the actual equipment order.
Give every fryer its own compatibility record
Start with the manufacturer, exact model and relevant version of each fryer. Identify each pan separately where the offered filtration arrangement requires it. Add the actual oil or fat, intended application, appliance documents, station drawing and provider contacts. Keep those facts attached to the proposed filter model and accessory list.
The supplier should explain which information establishes the pairing: the documented placement or connection arrangement, required accessories, applicable operating limits, services and the complete staff task. For a system involving oil transfer, include the supplier's assessed transfer and return arrangement in that scope. A kitchen buyer should not invent adapters, connections or a handling method to close an unanswered row.
Also show where the unit and its supplied accessories go between uses, how the documented care task is accommodated, and what work remains with the venue. If one filter is proposed for several fryers, ask how that sharing fits the actual food and oil requirements. Shared equipment does not, by itself, establish a suitable product-separation or allergen arrangement.
Worked comparison: the filter covers one fryer, not the whole request
All equipment IDs, models, offers and supplier findings below are fictional. They illustrate how to read a compatibility record; they are not VITO configurations, real manufacturer approvals or a filtration trial. The buyer's unchanged requirement is one supplied filtration package assessed for both existing fryers, FA and FB.
Two suppliers return different proposals. In Offer R, the fictional written assessment supports FA only and expressly excludes FB. In Offer S1, it supports both, but FB requires accessory K-B, which the price and supply list omit. Neither offer yet supplies the whole requested package.

Return R and ask for S2 with K-B explicitly included. The buyer needs two supported pairings, not two filters by default. S2 supplies one filter package covering the two pairings described in the fictional assessment. That does not mean the equipment works on both fryers simultaneously or that its whole staff task has been demonstrated.
Keep the pairing assessment, accessory part code and quoted quantity together. Do not let “accessories included” replace the named item that made FB supportable. If the buyer decides to cover FA alone, R can be reconsidered against that smaller request; its original rejection was for the two-fryer job.
A fryer substitution reopens the pairing
The kitchen then replaces FB with a different proposed fryer, FC. The filter line and accessory K-B remain unchanged on the revised equipment schedule. The old assessment names FA and FB; it says nothing about FC.

Before the substitution, S2 records two supported pairings out of the required two. Afterwards, only FA has a record matching the current request: one supported pairing and one unconfirmed pairing. FC has not been proved unsuitable; its support has not been established. Keeping K-B on the list does not supply that missing conclusion.
Send the new FC model documents and revised station drawing to the filtration supplier. Ask it to identify whether the filter, accessories, consumables, services, staff task or care requirements change. If it cannot support FC, revise the equipment choice or obtain a different filtration proposal rather than preserving the old package description.
Put the staff task and provider scope on the same page
Compatibility is the beginning of the purchase, not the whole handover. Give the supplier the actual station layout and describe the work staff must complete. Ask it to explain the supplied instructions and demonstration, and name the people accepting unresolved site or operating questions.

Keep filtration separate from the venue's decision about oil suitability and replacement. A filter purchase or a completed filtration event does not itself demonstrate that oil is acceptable for continued use. Have the responsible people establish those decisions through the applicable equipment instructions and venue procedures. This comparison supplies no filtration interval, oil-life extension or financial return.
Send a request the supplier can answer
Our current request is one filtration package for FA and the newly proposed FC. The previous S2 assessment covered FA and FB with accessory K-B; FB has been removed. Please assess FC, state the exact supported filter and accessories for each current fryer, and revise the complete supply list. Keep any excluded or unconfirmed pairing explicit.
Attach both fryer records, the offered filter documents, actual oil/application information and station drawing. Request the complete package price with consumables, required accessories, delivery, relevant provider work and handover scope identified. Ask for the response to name the model/document versions so a later substitution can be checked against it.
